TREATMENTS
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a wonderful relaxing treatment. It is based on the principle that our feet mirror all the systems, structures and functions of our body. These are mapped out on the feet as well as (hands, face and ears) as reflexes and pressure is put on these points.

Reflexology isn't used to cure, or treat a condition, its main aim is to bring the whole body back into balance and help it to function in the best way possible for you and to help it remember how to start healing itself. It can also be a regular treatment to help you stay feeling your best or used as a treat whenever you'd like one!
REIKI
Reiki, pronounced Ray-key, is translated as Universal Energy and originated in Japan.
It is a form of energy work where I as the practitioner place my hands on or just over the body in various positions.
As with many complementary therapies Reiki aims to help the body balance itself to promote healing and all round well being.
I offer Reiki as an add on or combination treatment.
This works on the same principal as foot reflexology, with the reflexes all found on the face, some people find it more relaxing than foot reflexology and is a great option for those who don't like their feet being touched.
Please note, if you have had Botox or facial fillers it is important to wait at least 3 weeks before having facial reflexology. If you have had a face lift we must wait 3 months. This is for your safety as well as ensuring the treatments you have had, work well.
Facial REFLEXOLOGY
INDIAN hEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is another relaxing treatment, as with other treatments it aims to balance the body and promote well being.
It is a seated treatment and includes an upper back, neck and scalp massage. It can be done fully clothed or just with shoulders/upper back uncovered. I use a massage cream on the skin but don't use oil on the scalp (unless requested).
This is an add on or combination treatment, it goes really well with facial reflexology!
Auric Field Tuning Forks - these are tuning forks set at specific frequencies to assist the healing path, clearing and balancing. The forks are moved over or on the body. It's a tool that can be really beneficial and can be used within any treatments.
All treatments can be tailored to your individual needs, which we can chat about when booking your appointment so please do ask if there is anything you're not sure of.
ACCESSIBILITY
I aim to make my treatments accessible to all where possible. Treatments can be done in the way best suited for you, this could be seated in a wheel chair or in an arm chair/sofa if that suits you better, some clients have their own reclining chair that they use, or I can use my Lafuma (like a zero gravity chair). For foot reflexology I do need to be able to access your feet so would need a suitable stool to rest your feet on, and for facial reflexology I need to be able to have space to sit/stand behind you. Please contact me to discuss if you have any concerns or specific needs regarding this, I can usually find a way to treat.
There are a few cases where I may not be able to offer you a Reflexology treatment, in the case of certain medical conditions such as DVT (until the condition has improved) and occasionally I may advise you to get consent from your doctor (such as if you have had very recent surgery or are undergoing cancer treatment), I may be able to offer an alternative treatment. If you are unsure please get in touch to discuss this further.
My Professional Association (AOR) has advised that we don't treat for 3 days after any vaccinations. This is due to possible side effects that some people experience from vaccines. Please bear this in mind when booking your appointment with me.

Hi, my name is Louise Roberts and I offer Foot Reflexology and Facial Reflexology, alongside Usui Reiki and Indian Head Massage. I am fully qualified and fully insured.
As well as running Holistic Healing with Lou, I am a Teaching Assistant of children with Special Educational Needs. I have been working in the education setting for over 20 years with 14 of those in special needs. It is a very rewarding job and I continually learn from the children and adults I work with.
Qualifications:

Crystal Healing (although I no longer use crystals in my work)

Reflexology (a full 9 month ITEC course with 100 case studies and exam) at the Jackie Hamilton School in 2019
Facial Reflexology level 1 and 2 with Ziggie Bergman
Indian Head Massage with Serenity Touch
I have also recently refreshed my First Aid certificate (January 2026) and have completed an Epilepsy awareness course.
As well as gaining these qualifications, I provided treatments for Therapy Aid, a charity set up to provide complementary therapies for unpaid carers. It was lovely to be offering free treatments to those that often had no time to care for themselves and although the charity is no longer running, I still see some of those people I treated now! I was also a Teaching Assistant at the Jackie Hamilton School, assisting Natalie Maskell (also previously my tutor) with group of student Reflexologists. It was lovely to be able to help new Reflexologists on their way, as well as revisit the curriculum from my course!
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) meaning that you know you are getting a fully trained, quality therapist when you book a treatment with me. To continue my membership with the AOR, I have to complete CPD, so I continue to do this with reading, research, courses and connecting with other Reflexologists to keep me up to date and always learning (I'm booked into a couple of courses this year!). I am also a member of the Norfolk Group of Reflexologists (NGR) who are a wonderful support
Prior to my training I had been working on my own wellbeing using Mindfulness and Meditation for some years leading me to believe that we are all able to help ourselves deal with the pressures and stress that modern life can bring. I also believe that kindness to ourselves and others is such a powerful way to give, and it's such a simple thing to do. And with that in mind, I would like to reassure, that you are safe to be yourself with me.
Taking care of our own well being seems more important than ever now, I hope to be able to help you do that. We can all find something that helps us, to give us the best that we can be in our own unique way. I look forward to treating you soon!

I offer a mobile service, where I bring a comfortable treatment chair, or you can use your own chair (please see 'accessibility' in the Treatments section for more information if required). I cover the areas surrounding Old Catton, including Norwich. Please note that locations more than 8 miles from Old Catton, may incur a small extra charge.
